AFCPE Awards: Mary Ellen Edmondson Educator of the Year

Description

Eligibility: Nominee must be a current AFCPE member at the time of submission. If not a member you may learn more and click here  to join.

Nominees must demonstrate alignment with and adhere to:
The AFC Core Competencies
The AFCPE Mission
The AFCPE Code of Ethics

Award Criteria:

  • Documented service and outreach in teaching and extension
  • Developed or published materials
  • Contributions to organizations, including AFCPE
  • Innovative program or curriculum development
  • Documented program impact
  • National, international and community recognition
  • Service to the profession
  • Service to the community
  • Mentoring that supports the whole person
  • Applicants should emphasize contributions from the past 3-5 years while including relevant career accomplishments as appropriate.


The Mary Ellen Edmondson Educator of the Year  award includes a $500 prize as well as a plaque.
*If you are a federal employee and receive this award this may be considered a gift. There may be federal regulations around employees receiving gifts. Please refer to the federal ethics regulations or your employer for clarity.
*If a recipient is unable to accept the monetary award, AFCPE may, upon request, direct the award amount as a charitable contribution to the AFCPE Strategic Impact Fund or another eligible nonprofit organization approved by AFCPE.
